Events FAQs

Feel free to contact us but you may find the answer below:

What time will the film start?

Film times vary slightly. As we use projection to ensure the best quality image, we don’t start the film any earlier than approx 15 mins after sunset.

Will food and drink be available at the event?

Each of our events are unique but as a general rule, yes, we work with some fantastic caterers and provide a well stocked bar and shop too. These differ depending on the event so always refer to the specific events’ T&Cs (see

Will the film go ahead in the rain?

We will still show the film even if it’s raining – we are British after all! The only thing that will stop us is wind speed. Wind cannot be above 25 knots or it becomes a health and safety risk. We will monitor the wind speed at the time of set-up and throughout the screening.  We ask any ticket holders to an event we’re organising, to keep an eye on our facebook page where we’ll post updates about weather conditions.  Should we have to postpone an event due to high winds, we will notify ticket holders via our facebook page and directly through SeeTickets.

Can we bring children?

Absolutely, as long as they comply with the film’s age certification.

Can we bring dogs?

Unfortunately dogs are not permitted at any of our events unless specified otherwise, this is out of respect to the rest of the audience.

Can I bring food and drink?

At most venues you can bring picnics and soft drinks with you, but it’s worth checking each event’s T&Cs as it can vary (see No glass of any kind is allowed onto sites. Most of our events do not allow you to bring alcohol in with you to enable us to comply with our Responsible Alcohol Policy – again, please check the terms specific to that event.

How will I receive my ticket and what happens if I forget to bring it?

Tickets are sent as an attachment from our ticketing partner SEE. If you happen to mislay the printout or can’t find your ticket, don’t worry as we have a full customer list at each event.

Is there disabled access?

For the best results, we wouldn’t recommend the film starts any earlier than dusk/sunset, unless there is a blackout cover or tent for the projector and screen.  The darker it is, the better the quality.

Have you got liability insurance?

Please contact us directly as each venue is different and we want to make sure we can provide any support needed:

Can I hire Firefly Events for a private function?
